“Only view from restaurant terrace is ok”

Don't stay in this hotel ! Very small rooms, old furniture, no fan in bathroom, no hot water in the morning, the shower head was broken, the stuff to cold.... . 4 stars ?. No way ! If you want to go for one cofee at terrace, is ok because the view from there is very nice.

“Pawned off but happy!!!”

We originally booked with Hotel Sonnwendhof and the whole booking process was a bit "weird" but that's a long story. Anyway we arrived at Hotel Sonnewendhof only to be told that something (hmmmm....) happened to the room we reserved and that we were being complimentary upgraded to the Artis hotel and we were told it was a "4-star hotel" like... “A business hotel in an area of outstanding beauty”

I had left it late to book an overnight in Semmering and the Panhans was full (it was a public holiday weekend). Artis was second choice. It is an anomaly in Semmering since it is a square box type of mid-range business hotel that looks as though it should be in downtown Vienna. How it got planning permission beats me.... More

“Excellent Value Hotel”

We stayed at the Hotel for just 2 nights. We arrived quite early (10.30) from Vienna Airport and were allowed to check in at once. Our room had a spectacular view and was a fair size, clean, warm (once we turned on the radiator) and had a good bathroom with great power shower, no bath though. There were some guests... More

“Good value, smokers' paradise”

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would not mind sitting in smoky bars and hotel lobbies. Excellent views but the hill leading to this hotel can be very icy.Food is very good, staff is helpful.
