My husband and I stayed here for 4 days which were absolutely heaven. The no phone, no tv, no A/C., no cell phone rules creat a bit of withdrawal the first day, but after that you dont want to go back to civilization!! The individual bungalows are charming, and you feel like you are in a polynesian village. Food and... more

Second visit. Stayed in a beachfront hale on the 'sandy' side of the resort. If you are looking to be pampered in the "spritzed at the pool" sense of the word, go next door to the Four Seasons. If you want unique beauty and a blood-pressure lowering experience, come here. The staff have been there for years (one bartender replaced... more

We almost did not stay here as the concept seemed a bit too cute. It is not and we were really persuaded to try it by the reviews here. It really is a special place. We booked last minute on the internet rate that promises you the best category hale available. I am not sure they exactly lived up to... more

My wife and I went to Kona Village to celebrate our anniversary during September. This resort appealed to us at this time of year because it is less crowded, there are no kids and the weather is mild but still warm and nice. Kona Village is a rare hotel and would probably never be built today. It only has about... more

We have been there three times and I am already counting the days until out next visit. The staff makes you feel special from the moment you step out of... more

This place is awesome. If you just want to step away from all the hazy dazy information overload loud clash fast faster modern world, this is the place to do it. You go here to relax, eat a little, sleep, read, and did I say relax. This is place that is not going to keep you entertained with nightlife and... more

This was our second visit to Kona Village as an extended family (Grandparents/50-ish Parents/The Cousins). This is the second nearly perfect week we've had. Kona Village isn't for everyone--if you like hotels, air conditioning, television, don't bother. However, the essence of old Hawaii is here, and there is magic in the air. The property is quite enclosed and safe, so... more

My husband and I have stayed at this property nine times since 1997. We always went in either May or September when the resort was not too busy and there were very few children (children's programs are not offered during May or Sept.). We loved the laid-back atmosphere, natural beauty and unpretentiousness of the place. We enjoy the lack of... more

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, like living on the beach absorbing the aloha of the island. The staff is professional and extremely friendly. Clearly happy to be living in paradise. more
