If you want to have a quiet vacation far from turist areas, rent a cottage instead to stay in a Hotel!
I choose Kailua because it is "far" (30min...!) from Honolulu's frenetic life, and this cottage is 5min walking from the beach of Kailua bay!! wow... I couldn't expect more..the cottage is spacious, new, clean, everything is accurate, there is a full kitchen, a new bath with a big shower, the owners are very kind and gave us complete independence... I highly recommend!! more
