This is a nice resort, and a good deal for the price. Though surrounded by a golf course, so when you read "ocean view" it means in the distance, on the other side of the golf course, you can see the ocean. And you have about a 1/4 mile walk or drive to the nearest beach ... nothing right at... more

Good value, clean, comfortable, very accomodating staff and facilities are well maintained howeverkitchen appliances need major updating, very dated but they do work well. Excellent location from Kona airport and very accessible to Walmart, Safeway, local supermarkets etc. all very important factors when staying in a full kitchen resort with young children and spouse. We loved this place. The rooms were big, clean, excellent kitchen. Although we didnt use them, there are multiple good quality propane grills on the grounds so you can also barbecue when you want. Stayed 4N at the Kona Coast Resort and could not fault it (for what it is). The rooms are HUGE and clean. It is quiet and overlooks a manucured golf course and the sea. Kona Coast Resort is a very good place if you want to stay with family, specially kids. The fully equipped Kitchen and other aminities were great and beyond what we expected.
