This looks like an old office type building. You walk up the outside of the building to the second floor where the rooms are located. I shared a room with a friend - she slept down stairs in the double bed and I slept in the loft which had 2 twin beds on the floor. There was enough room to... More

I stayed at the Swan Nest Inn for two nights in May 2013. The room had a double bed and a loft with two single mattresses. The rooms weren't large, but the space was well used and the communal lounge and TV room were really comfy. The kitchen was communal but we were welcomed to use it. The entire inn... More

Great for a one-night stay. For the price, I have no real complaints! Rooms were small, but very nice and clean. We had a view of the ocean that was beautiful. The location was excellent; we just walked out the door to explore Seward. And the little breakfast that was provided was a nice plus. Walls are very thin.

We stayed just one night prior to the cruise and would definitely recommend this place. Excellent location, good price and quaint hand-made furniture in the bedrooms. Their continental breakfast was a bonus too. The only thing is the walls are kinda thin so would request staying away from the eating area.

What a nice hotel in downtown Seward. You may be put off by the first impression outside but the inside looks very adequate. Everything is very clean and looks wel maintained. The hotel matched our expectations according to the price we paid for the room. We went on a 11 day individual Alaska.I booked all the hotels during our trip... More

I spent three nights at the Swan Nest Inn, and had a very different experience from most reviewers. The picture from the street looks very nice, but upon arriving, realized the first floor is an abandoned space, with rags stuffed under the door to keep the cold or mice out.To reach the B & B, you must climb some shabby... We spent three nights in a cozy room at A Swan Nest Inn. Rooms were small but very comfortable with a desk and chair and a closet large enough to put away all your luggage. Internet connection was great.. We loved the location which allowed us to walk along the bay to our fjord cruise, to the Sea Life Center,... More

I spent the last three weeks in Seward for work and stayed at The Swan's Nest. I was absolutely impressed with how cozy and convenient it is. The view is also great! Heather (the manager) made my stay very comfortable and she bakes amazing fresh bread and scones every morning. Havin such a nice place to stay helped my work... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night and were totally delighted with the accomodations. Nick and Heather were wonderful hosts, the room was clean and unique and the location was perfect. It was the nicest night we stayed in Alaska. We would certainly stay here again if we go back to Seward.

The reason for ONLY four stars: I save the fifth for close to once-in-a-lifetime places. Great bed, very clean, owner Tom a great host; we would have loved to have spent more time talking with him. Having a wood-burning stove on a rainy night was a huge plus! Nothing can beat the view of Resurrection Bay. We were a little... More
