We just returned from our trip to Alaska. Our stop in Seward was to try our luck at Halibut fishing. This place recommended a great fishing charter and made us feel at home by accomodating to all our needs -from cooking our fish to making some great home made breakfast. We enjoyed NIck and Ariana share time talking to us... more

A friend and I stayed at A Swan Nest Inn and had an enjoyable stay. Nick & Arianna were wonderful hosts. (Thanks guys!) Based on this experience, I plan to stay at B&Bs as much as possible on future vacations. It was great to be within walking distance of downtown Seward. I had a wonderful stay and I would definitely... more

We loved staying at The Swan Nest Inn! It was a perfect location and really perfect accommodations! If you really want to experience Alaska, Tom Swann, the owner, is your man! He gave us amazing recommendations on what to do - great hikes (Harding Ice Field), amazing kayaking (Adventure 60 North, Bear Glacier), and spectacular wildlife tours (Kenai Fjords). Arianna... more

We are a couple in our sixties and stayed 2 nights at the Swans Nest in August as part of our 5 weeks in Alaska. We found the room very dark and musty and although the bed ends were beautiful, they jutted out too much for such a small room. The breakfast was the worst we had on the whole... more

This is a very nice B&B, however it is not handicap accessible. It is located on the second floor of the building. The rooms are small but very nice and clean. The family that owns this B&B were very friendly and helpful. more

We stayed here in September as the last stop on our trip. There are definitely a lot of stairs involved with this B&B (it's located on the 2nd floor and the rooms have lofts) but the historical value of the place makes it super cool. We really enjoyed getting to know the family at breakfast time, and felt right at... more

In May I called the owner of this B & B to get some idea of the accomodations. He advised we take the more expensive room because it had a better view. The room was not worth the extra money. It was right off the kitchen where every one went for "breakfast" . Every morning we were awakened by the... more

Stayed at Swans Nest in July, great location in town and nice people. The room was very small and the bedhead and foot was made of natural wooden burl, very attractive but not practical in a small room as one easily bumped and bruised oneself when walking by. We had a queen size bed with an additional bed in the... more

I stayed at A Swan's Nest the first week of August, 2008. It was nicely kept and centrally located, and the owner fixed us up with a great glacier cruise, on which we saw puffins, a humpback whale, bald eagles on their nest, etc. However, it took 2 days for the room to warm up from 62 degrees to 68... more

We loved our time at A Swan Nest Inn. The family who owns it is very friendly and accomodating. The best part is, they'll let you upgrade their continental breakfast to a full, hot, homemade breakfast for $5! Their sourdough pancakes are a great way to start the day. The rooms aren't huge, but they're extremely clean and full of... more
