I stayed for one night in Zlin, and this hotel (means Dark Bear in english) was booked for me. I was expecting a typical business hotel and was pleasantly surprised. It is difficult to find, although it is only 5 minutes drive from the town the hotel seems to be in the middle of nowhere, and you find yourself in the forest. We would never have found without the GPS system. It is (what I imagine to be) a typical rustic Czech lodge. The restaurant is quite small and very atmospheric. Although It is a bit offputting eating surrounded by hunting trophies ie heads on the wall... But food was very good. My room was again very rustic, lots of dark wood everywhere. Bathroom a little outdated, but OK. I just wished I could have stayed there a couple of days to be able to go walking in the forest. If you are ever passing through Zlin, a lovely little hotel. more
