Inn at Coyote Mountain counts among the the top country inns in Costa Rica. We found it on our 4th trip to the country. It may not be for everyone--with its bumpy road entrance--but once you arrive it's soooo beautiful! Everybody there was friendly and helpful. Our room had a wonderful king bed handmade from local wood, and a gigantic... more

My husband and I were in Costa Rica for 3 months. For Valentines Day I wanted a remote, romantic inn to stay at.Coyote Mtn.Inn sounded amazing, so I splurged on the Observatory Room. The view was amazing. That was it.Like other reviews, the room was dirty,I dont think it was cleaned in ages. The tub would have been great, but it too looked dirty. The towels were... more

Where to begin? We arrived early and were welcomed with open arms. Our room was ready and clean, then we ordered a bottle of wine and sat on the balcony looking out over the pacific coast for a few hours. We watched the sunset from the hot tub, then enjoyed a four-course gourmet dinner- and that was just the first... more

I went to Inn at Coyote Mountain expecting a beautiful hotel with extraordinary food and breathtaking views. Instead I got a dirty room, mediocre food and so many dogs barking that it was difficult to feel peaceful when I looked out the window. The hotel certainly could be all they suggest that it will be when you go to their... more

Reservations went very smoothly and the place is actually much nicer than it appears on the web site. The view from the observatory room was excellent - unparalleled. The architecture of the hotel was also beyond compare. Paul was just wonderful and made us feel comfortable right away...we felt more like guests than customers. I'm telling all my friends about... more

I found Coyote Mountain through the web searching for ecolodges. My wife and I stayed for 2 days of perfect relaxation and enjoyment of nature. The place is secluded and not at all touristy--never crowded since there are only 4 rooms--we really enjoyed walking the grounds and gardens. We soaked in the hot tub and then had a massage from... more

I travelled to Coyote Mountain during the dry season, so my experience may have been a bit different than some other reivewers who visited during the humidity and monsoon-like rains. I loved the place! Everything was clean and well kept. The climate was perfect and the Inn truly palatial--architecture in the style of Andalucia, where I live in Spain. This... more

The architecture of this hotel and the views are amazing. We were informed by the staff that it has been a hotel for two years now and it seems that it has not been kept up very well. To make it clear, I am not a high end traveller - I was a Peace Corps Volunteer and don't require the... more

Very dissapointed by the Inn @ Coyote Mountain. The views from property are beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend it. We arrived at the Inn after a treacherous trek up the country road, we'd been on several other roads in the Country, but this one was by far the worst. The Inn, was well anything but spectacular. We requested use of... more

Coyote Mountain provides the ultimate in getting away from it all--a true escape to nature. The Observatory wowed us with its views and amazing bathroom. Food was home-made, nothing fancy, but enjoyable. Look for last-minute special rates--we got one 6 days ahead of time. more
