While some areas (e.g. the tennis court) need a little attention, my overall experience here was dreamlike. Situated in a quaint, storybook french village (yes, adjacent to an abbey), this beautiful little stone hotel retains the charm of the farm it was converted from. We were traveling with a group of American teenagers through Brittany and Normandy. We spent one night at the Hostellerie Abbatiale Le Tronchet and found it to be a charming and enjoyable stay. I staid 1 night from April 14th to April 15th 2006 at the Hostellerie Abbatiale near Saint Malo in Brittany, France. It was an awful stay, and I can only recommend travellers NOT TO GO THERE.
