We attended a weekend seminar held at the hotel. The room was OK, the pool was small and too cool. We enjoyed tasty appetizers in the lounge/restaurant, and the severs were very friendly. We tried a walk around the block but the vicinity is not welcoming, a homeless man was camped on the stairs to the service entrance and glared... more

2 nights April 2009. Corner king suite (small sitting room, separate small bedroom in the corner with bath between). Bedroom had windows 2 sides. Cozy but adequate. Bathroom average (exactly the same design as the Grand Hyatt nearby without the extra class). Windows open. West side with peek-a-boo Puget Sound view. Typical city drone through the open windows. Clean and... more

I stayed here one night for work and really enjoyed my stay. The room was very nice and the view was great. I found the bed to be very comfortable and loved the size of my room. The only draw back was the parking garage which seems to fill up very quickly and you drive down to the bowels of... more

We stayed at the Renaissance on 31st May, after arriving from UK, we were departing the next day on an NCL Alaskan Cruise, so we were booked into this hotel for just one night. Overall for a nights stay it was fine, fast check in, great room with lovely big comfy bed (just what I needed after a long haul... more

Don't stay there if you are a light sleeper. The hotel must have been built many years ago. The decor is pretty outdated although the room is clean. I am staying at 19th floor AWAY from the I-5 high way, and I still can here all street noise from the ground level! It's as if there is absolutely no sound... more

First of all, they let me check in at 10am to dress for an event. Then there was a small problem with the room so they upgraded me an executive corner suite with a view of the harbor, Space needle and Lake Union.. My wife would open all the drapes and admire the views day and night (a Grays Anatomy... more

This was the first of three hotels we stayed at recently in Seattle. The lobby is being renovated but staff had planned well for the interim, so checking in was easy. We were on a concierge floor...very large long room, roomy bath. The lobby had free Wifi, although in the rooms it was $9/day. Although they said there was a... more

The hotel is currently being remodeled. Our room was very nice and newly redone. I'd suggest asking for a room on the 5th street side of the hotel. The other side faces I-5. The staff and everyone was wonderful. The pool and spa are quiet and perfect for a evening wind down. My only other suggestion is to avoid the... more

The hotel itself was OK. The staff was terrible. Upon checking in I inquired about breakfast and was told that there was not a free breakfast even though as part of my Gold Elite benefits it was supposed to be. On Saturday when we were getting ready to leave I asked for a late checkout of 2P (not very late)... more

While not as plush as many higher-end hotels, the Renaissance was comfortable, clean, and provided friendly and good service. Parking was easy, though fairly pricey (~$33/night). The breakfast available in the hotel was actually surprisingly good (and reasonably priced for downtown). There are a few caveats, as a few others mentioned: the proximity to the freeway can be bothersome if... more
