I would not normally write a review but our stay was so good I felt I must. The house and gardens were superb and we were made to feel very welcome. The continental breakfast really set us up for the day, particularly John's home made scones. I even got gardening tips thrown in free of charge. All restaurant advice was... More

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for 2 nights earlier this month and had a lovely time. The house is beautifully maintained and the decor is well thought out. For a continental breakfast, it was very good with fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, coffee/tea/milk, muffins, croissants, cheese and boiled eggs. Normally, we stay downtown when visiting Seattle but we... More

Don't expect to get what you reserve at the Foxglove. After confirming twice and calling ahead to speak with the owner, I arrived with no message of the room change, nobody answered the doorbell for 1 1/2 hours and then I was greeted with an indignant attitude. The B&B looked lovely inside and even the tiny room in the attic... More

First of all I would like to thank this guest for taking the time to write a review on our property. Trip Advisor is perhaps our most valuable resource not only for our own personal travel but for our prospective guests. We have always been very happy members. I had to run a quick errand (grocery store) when this guest... More

We have been to John's place 4 times over the past 4 or 5 years. We have been met with the same welcoming spirit each time, so we can truly say it's like coming to visit a good friend! John is a great host and offered to get us our special yoghurt for each of the 3 days we stayed... More

My husband and I just returned from 4 nights (2/17-2/18) in Seattle at Foxglove Guesthouse. We immediately felt at home. We were greeted at the door as if we were family. The house was perfectly resorted, warm and inviting. Our room was welcoming, and very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was perfect and the other guests agreed. Several of them... More

My husband and I stayed at Foxglove recently while on business, and are glad we did. Pros: Breakfast is healthy, large variety of fresh fruit, granola, good coffee, specialty rolls, OJ, boiled eggs. We stayed in room 2 a very nice "suite" plenty of room, clean. It has been updated and is lovely, and quiet. The "living room" off of... More

I stayed here four nights over Thanksgiving, visiting nearby friends. The house itself is lovely, and I was more than satisfied with my room (room #1). Located on Capitol Hill, the Foxglove is close to the restaurants and services on nearby 15th Street. Breakfast was ample and included a lot of fresh fruit, and very good coffee. I would definitely... More

We recently stayed at the Foxglove for three nights and would highly recommend this wonderful B&B to anyone visiting Seattle. The beautiful craftsmanship of the restored home, the attention to detail, the supreme location, and the informative and genuinely helpful caring hosts made our trip that much more pleasureable. We truly appreciated the furnishings and art collections at the Foxglove.... More

We stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed the room and the delicious breakfast. A morning with the perfect decorated table is the best start in a day in this beautiful city and John has good tips for visiting the town. Thanks John and have a good time till we see you again. Cheers
