The lobby is chic and the rooms are a mixture of classic and modern. Somehow it works to make a pleasant hotel that makes you feel like it is 2010 and 1930 at the same time. Some of the rooms are very small for two people. The upper floors in general have excellent views. The hotel restaurant and bar is... more

I stay here often for business, my wife often accompanies me. I like it because: 1. The beds are very comfortable. 2. The rooms are very quiet and nicely done. 3. The staff is exceedingly friendly. 4. The U district is a fun place to walk around at night and grab a bite to eat. 5. The price is right.... more

Although I booked with Priceline (at a very nice price), I was upgraded to a larger room since one was available - thanks to the very cordial staff. The room had a mild old hotel smell - well, it IS an old hotel that has been nicely redone in an interesting decor. There are great local dining/eating places in a... more

This hotel has the very best people working for them, so friendly and kind with a big dash of helpful. They made me feel so welcome. I was their guest for 3 weeks in September and was so spoiled. In October I again had the privilage of staying there and they even remembered me by name. The hotel is very... more

Received this hotel on a priceline bid. It is convienent to the U. Checin was quick and the employees friendly and helpful. The room was nice but the bathrooms are small. It is an old hotel that has been remodeled nicely and has an art deco theme. There is free wireless. The workout room is a joke. The breakfast in... more

Quaint, stylish, nifty and different. The staff was lovely, the little coffee shop attached to the lobby was convenient and delicious. We were confused about the parking situation but it all worked out and it was great to be near stores and such that we could walk to, like Half Price Books!! ROCK! more

Forget the quirks of an old building (which I personally find charming!) because the staff more than make up for any small deficiencies. They were truly fabulous! There's a young man at the front desk that knows more about the local restaurant scene than any 5-star conceirge at the fru-fru hotels we've stay at. And the shuttle drivers know just... more

I recently stayed at the Hotel Deca because we were dropping off my little sis at college. I would have to say that it is one of the best Seattle hotels around. This hotel was in a great location and even though it was a little more expensive then usual hotels, it was well worth it. more

I would reccomend this hotel with some reservations. It was stylish, had some of the necessarys like internet, etc. and the beds were super comfy. HOWEVER, it was fairly far from where I wanted to sightsee. If visitng the University only it would be perfect but everywhere else is a hike. The staff was friendly enough but not particularly helpful... more

I travel semi-frequently to Seattle (3 to 5 times a year) to visit friends and my daughter, who attends the University of Washington. I usually stay at the University Inn, a sort of plain-vanilla hotel near campus with nice amenities, a great staff and spacious rooms. This last trip they were booked and the only near-campus option I had was... more
