At first unsure of what hotel to pick as had never been to area before and was apprehensive regarding location as we had no knowledge of the area. We found it to be a great hotel, definitely the right choice, cheaper than other comparable hotels in the area but at no cost and gave us preferential room and check in... more

Thanks for the nice comments, delighted we were able to upgrade you. Glad you made it down to the waterfront, market and Space Needle. One can also take the monorail over to the space needle, easy way to go. Parking in Seattle is more expensive than some cities, but we do regularly compare our prices and they are competitive with...

It's a great hotel if you are seeing a show at the Paramount, which is directly across the street. The hotel is great and the staff is wonderful. They are helpful with everything. I've stayed there on more than one occasion and love it each and everytime. more

Thanks for being a loyal guest of Hyatt at Olive 8. At just a half block from the Paramount, it is a great option, and Urbane is a great spot for pre or post theatre meals or drinks as well. Our friends at the Paramount just re-did their historic marquis with LED lights that will save a great deal of...

We had a unique experience in Seattle. We stayed two nights at the Westin just 3 blocks away, then stayed two more nights at this hotel. The difference was night at day. For starters, the staff here seems to enjoy working at this hotel vs. in a hurry and too busy for you. The rooms are nicely appointed. And the... more

Thanks FrequentTraveler30! We set out to create a new hotel experience, which starts with sustainability but addresses travelers changing needs, like the fitness center, which we feel is the best anywhere. But we also want to show that being green doesn’t mean sacrificing quality or service, glad that it worked so well for you!

My family and I have never had a bad experience at a Hyatt property. We are pretty loyal to the brand and stay at a Hyatt whenever possible, whether for business or leisure (anywhere from 5-10 times per year.) Having said that, the staff at the Hyatt at Olive 8 treated us absolutely amazing and made us feel extremely welcome...maybe... more

I am not sure I could have written a review for Hyatt at Olive 8 better myself! Just the kind of experience we want our guests to have. We were glad that you were able to hit all areas of the hotel and the neighborhood. Pike Place Market is such a treasure for us. We are also happy to hear...

What a dissapointment this Hotel was. Location was fine and intitial impression is good but the staff was incompetent on top of having a strange facility to work in. Part of the hotel floors are full time condos and the rest are normal hotel rooms. I'm not sure which were first but this hotel has the SLOWEST elevators known to... more

We are very sorry to have dropped the ball on your stay. You had asked to be on a quiet floor and we didn’t deliver. It is critical for us that our guests are allowed to relax and get a good night’s sleep, and I will be the first to acknowledge how disconcerting it can be when you are next...

Great modern hotel. Clean room. Good food onsite (happy hour was awesome!). Located close to everything we wanted to do in Seattle (Pikes, Space Needle, Capital Hill, Shopping). Comfortable bed. Loved the TV! Hotel turn-down service was not the best (I thought they should leave chocolates) and we tipped the cleaning staff daily but did not get better service which... more

I stayed at this property for three nights at the end of October, 2009. I booked the hotel through Priceline. I often worry about what kind of room I will get when booking this way, but no worry was necessary here. I had a room on the 14th floor near the elevators, but it was still very quiet. The only... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference for 3 nights. 1) Staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. My bill took no time at all to print out. My room service was delivered in 5 mins (it was fruit & cottage cheese). I got sick in the middle f the night and they brought me up some ginger ale. The... more

Excellent! Thanks for the detailed review…we hope that we made your conference trip feel like a vacation! Glad to hear we could help when you were sick and that you found the beds to be comfortable. Thanks for the feedback on the doors; we will be looking into a remedy for that.

The highlight of this hotel from my point of view are the 37" LCD TV's that bring HDTV to your hotel room. The rooms look new and quite clean. The location of the hotel is close to the Convention Center and downtown Seattle. The restaurant inside the hotel is extremely overpriced, but you can find everything you need close by.... more

Glad that you enjoyed the HD TV’s. We have 37” flat screens in all rooms. Guests can even dock their laptops or iPods to view as full or half screens. Sorry that you felt the restaurant was too pricey, but you are correct that there are all kinds of options close by covering quite a spectrum of food and price....

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The gym is first class with modern LifeFitness equipment in a super clean gym looking outside from the 2nd floor. There are free weights as well as an adjoining room for aerobics, yoga, etc. There were at least 8 treadmills and 4 bicycle machines. The restaurant and lobby bar were extremely... more

Thanks for the great review, glad that you were able to take advantage of all areas of the hotel and that our service was helpful (and I enjoyed your play on words in the title of your review!).
