We stayed end of August, beginning of September in this lovely B&B. The owners were very friendly and experts on the local must-sees and must-do's. They directed us to some wonderful eating places (don't miss Ivar's Salmon House, but not the touristy location) and provided us with tips on getting around.
The house (mansion) is beautifully decorated, with decorating that really goes with the heritage feel of the place. The owners are avid antique collectors and it shows!
Our room was recently renovated, and had an all new en-suite bathroom. All very luxurious, while maintaining the original style of the house.
Breakfast is served in a downstairs sitting room, where you are surrounded by souvenirs from the owners' previous trips and their own art-work. Breakfast was simple, but good.
The location is also excellent, just off a main street that will take you right into the heart of Capitol Hill, a bustling neighbourhood. It will also get you to downtown Seattle in 20... more
