The B and B Bataille is on the banks of a large stream, which locals use for fishing....Beautiful location. The common room in the “lobby” or great room has a large variety of memorabilia and reading resources about D-Day and the battles in the area....A “must” for military or WWII history buffs. It is next to a bridge which was... More

We stayed late April and had memorable experience with the moving local history our priority and what history the B&B has experienced. A great location to explore Normandy. Aside from the history, Rodolphe has lots of very affordable local eateries to recommend. John Steele became a favourite. Vivian and Rodolphe contributed to our wonderful time. We look forward to revisiting.

What a memerable and comfortable place with such rich history of WWII D-day +. Vivian and Rodolphe were excellent host with a great location and a place of historical significance. I personnally will never forget this place, as the old barn converted living quarters are simply modified for comfort and remembrance. If visiting this area, make plans to visit and... More

Extremely accommodating and gracious hosts make your stay at this historic B&B a memorable one. Staying in this historic location really pulled together the entire Normandy D-Day experience. I would highly recommend this place to stay when visiting this region. I was in between weeks of business travel and this was a great change of pace to my normal hotel... More

The B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere is spectacular. Surrounded by history, you are centered in the paratrooper landing zones of D-Day. The views are both beautiful and somber. Vivian and Rodolphe have perfected hospitality with a fine mix of history, food, wine, and accommodations. The enthusiasm they displayed was infectious. Their assistance with reservations and recommendations from a... More

It should be your duty to go stay at B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere! The accomodations, hospitality, and company are excellent. The B&B is an excellent place to stay and relax but you can't stay without paying your respects to the overwhelming amount of history in the area. Since I made my Normandy visit as a short notice... From the time Vivian and Rodolphe greet you at the front door until the time you sadly must say " goodbye " you have shared a " special place " in history with charm and grace. The battlefield is literally at the front door where the 82nd Airborne Division won the day. Their memorial, just across the road, makes us... More

This is our third visit and won't be our last! Absolutely charming hosts, we always have a wonderful welcome. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect to visit all the historical sites from WW11. All this makes this B&B hard to beat! Looking forward to our next visit.

Had the best time in the Normandy Region all because this wonderful Bed and Breakfast! I will definitely be a returning visitor in the future! This B&B has two things that most assuredly set it apart from the average B&B: Location - Located just to the west of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, literally across the road from the Airborne Memorial. The short drive... More
