Terri Russi manages a very nice hotel. Terri assisted us with our booking and helped us with tour bookings. Based on previous reviews we requested a room off the main street. It was big, quiet and also had good blackout curtains. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. A nice friendly atmosphere. We were also fortunate to take advantage of... more

I love the Historic Anchorage Hotel! Terri is the GM and she took care of my reservation personally. The Historic is a boutique hotel and a one of a kind. The rooms are very well appointed, the beds are so comfy and the hotel itself is definately a historical site. Breakfast is served every morning in their own breakfast/coffe bar,... more

I stayed here in February for a business trip. It is an old hotel, so it does not necessarily have all of the in room amenities that you might be used to, like comfy chairs and large bathrooms and it may be a little more "lived in" than newer hotels. But it is a very friendly, unique place to stay... more

Stayed four days. No air conditioning, so fan was helpful. Wonderful location downtown, easy walk to mall, museum, etc. Noise from nearby bars on weekend, but quiet at other times. Georgeous decor, lots of character. Parking is now $8/day. Would supplement breakfast with some protein, but waffles/bagels/yogurt/apples/juice/coffee/tea/cider were all good. Would stay again. more

We found it really difficult to find a hotel in Anchorage, the hotels were really expensive and the reviews generally not great. Finally we found the Historic Anchrage Hotel. it was great, the position fantastic, the rooms really roomy and the people terrific. By Anchorage standards it was good value for money, breakfast was included and the use of internet... more

My husband & I stayed for 2 weeks in the Historic Anchorage and we would stay there again when we revisit Anchorage. The room was big and comfortable, a fan was available if it got a bit too warm and there was very little noise to be heard where we were situated. The staff were very friendly and did all... more

We really enjoyed this hotel and thought it was charming. We stayed the first and last night of our trip and enjoyed both rooms. The first stay we were given a third floor suite, which had a separate sleeping area, tons of windows, dressing area and kitchenette. We asked for a room in the back of the hotel because of... more

In my Fodors travelguide the Historic Anchorage is described as the last hotel with charm in Anchorage. It is a charming hotel with a real cozy vibe. **The location is perfect for exploring downtown Anchorage. The Weekend Market is just a block away (well worth visiting - just keep in mind it only runs in the summer. We were there... more

Beautiful Hotel, great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room is small, but has a flat screen TV. The walls are thin! Heard every room beside and above us! Didn't sleep very well because of the noise. more

If the peace and quiet of the Alaskan great outdoors is getting to you, this is the place to stay. Conveniently located across from a busy bar as well as a dance club, you can not only hear but also feel the throbbing disco beat all night long. Add to that construction noise and the sound of heavy trucks rumbling... more
