My husband and I stayed at the Hampton our first two nights in Alaska, and were very pleasantly surprised. The gal at the desk at one something in the morning was a little slow at getting to the counter. That was not a big deal, because we had so many delays by then, that another five-ten minutes, made no difference.... more

I was able to check-in early (upon arrival) as my flight arrived at 6:30 am. The breakfast selection was sufficient and the offerings varied each day. The shuttle service was good therefore a rental car was not needed while staying in the city which save us some money. I wished I had known ahead of time that the hotel also... more

They have a Chief Engineer at this property named Pattrick. I would like to tell you that he is a wonderful asset to the hotel. We got an incredibly good rate at this hotel from the hotel website -- $71 per night. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the free shuttle will take you anywhere in town you want to go -- WalMart, Restaurants, Downtown, Airport, etc..... The Hampton is getting dated, but isn't too bad a place to stay. If, though, you they try to give you a room numbered 111 or lower, get another or go elsewhere. The pool is across from those rooms and the noise and chlorine smell are simply unacceptable if you plan on going to sleep before 10 pm. Be prepared... more

This was a great hotel. I used to live in Anchorage and stayed at the Hamptonn Inn and Suites as a cheap getaway. The room was very nice and quiet. We paid $39.00 dollars.
