Location- there is 2 main areas of Anchorage, central city- had a few central attractions, few museums, train station, average shopping, flee market in summer, river fishing for Salmon viewing area ,and few other central attractions.
2ND main area in Anchorage ,where the Jason Hostel is located=10 minutes to airport, walk to many major shopping-walmart,target,,etc, major movie house,many eating places,few museums. The central city is 8/12 min. by cheap bus. 3 other hostel in immediate location.
This hostel has average amenities-day room with large hd tv, 4 free Internet computers,always on hand helpful personal, outside Ramada with 10chairs, average off street parking.
I found the place to be of average cleans, average dorm size with adequate closet storage area. there was two group kitchens areas- in main floor and on 2ND floor.
the owner very very helpful and put on a nice free dinner once each week for all guests.
