I found this b&b through the Anchorage Alaska B&B Association. I checked a miriad of sites as well as the b&b's website then called to make the reservation because everything looked very nice. The off-season rate is good, but the site is somewhat misleading. Beware, this is a basement unit, and not the little cottage you see in the picture on the site. That's the misleading part. The private entrance is a staircase on the side of the house that leads to the room underneath. None of the sites I checked mentioned that the room was a basement unit. Another thing, if you like quiet, stay somewhere else or bring earplugs, as you can hear the plumbing above, not a huge deal when you are already awake, but it's really unpleasant to wake up to loud banging noises in the pipes every time someone runs the water upstairs.
