We reserved by looking at reviews - some good some not so. We found a reasonable cost place to sleep and bathe close to the center of town. Breakfast was as expected, prepackaged continental with coffee / tea. Spending time in the room was not our idea of seeing Anchorage. It was our adiquate home away from home. The desk... more

to be avoided at all costs. Rooms dark and dismal, very old and dusty , ours had no window. No breakfast included - only coffee (without milk) and horrible sickly sticky rolls to be taken up to room. After basic cleaning place stank of bleach! horrible hotel! more

This hotel was dirty, shabby, and all around a place where it was worth it to forfeit money for not staying the next night as planned. The neighborhood is a bit dicey, also. more

We spent 2 nights here in mid-August. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were fine and very quiet. We also had one of the rooms on the lower level - which some have classified as the basement. The rooms were clean and the hotel appears to be in the midst of a slow upgrade. We were a... more

I really don't consider myself to be very picky, but this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. How does the health department allow it to stay open? It should be shut down and condemned. Do not even think about staying here. The place doesn't look too bad from the outside. However, the inside is another story.... more

I'm a local that booked some friends here thinking it was ok. But unfortunately my friends ended up with a basement room next the front entrance on the street. The drunks, the train and Saturaday market either kept them up at night or got them up far too early. The rooms were too hot and opening a window did little... more

This is one of the cheaper hotels in downtown Anchorage, and really you get what you pay for. While the hotel was conveniently located, the staff were helpful, and the rooms well equipped, it wasn't exactly luxurious. My bedspread was torn and stained, and the room wasn't the cleanest I've seen. If you're on a budget, and want to stay... more

I stayed here while I interviewed for a job in town. I stayed for 11 nights and 12 days. It was a very quiet and comfortable place to stay and the continental breakfest was just enough to get you going in the morning! Their was even free off street parking for my car. The staff and owners were like my... more

We are thankful for all reviews, it is very nice to receive the good ones. As a small family operated hotel we try our best to please everyone, not always possible. It is nice to see that someone that was pleased took the time to write a review.

My daughter stayed here for several days to take in the culture Anchorage has to offer. All major hotels in Anchorage are way too expensive, offering services I have no interest in, nor will I want to use when on a vacation. The room was clean, the guests were quiet, neighborhood was quiet (no traffic din), safe - my daughter... more
