Downtown Guest House was more than an amazing place to stay! My friends and I stayed there 3 nights for the Anchorage marathon. The house had everything we needed for the weekend. There were 2 bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. I was able to get a great night's rest before the marathon. The showers were hot with great water pressure. There were plenty of soft plush towels. We met one of our hosts. She was very friendly and helpful with restaurant tips. The hosts also provided a binder with restaurant menus. If you prefer to cook, the place is within a 5 minute walk to the New Sagaya's City Market. The market had your regular grocery store products as well as lots of organic and gourmet items. The house also had cable TV and internet access. We had to get our own ethernet cable, which you can get at the local Radio Shack. Other than that, internet access worked really well.
