This hotel in downtown Anchorage provided a comfortable and enjoyable home away from home; rooms were very well appointed, clean, comfortable and great views of the city more

Was in Anchorage for a Convention with over 1300 attendees. My husband and 7 year old also traveled with me. The hotel does not have air conditioning and beng from the south, that is uncommon for us. But we found that the windows opened and that cooled our room to the perfect temperature. The king size bed was comfortable and... more

It was rather warm in the room without any ac and no fans. We opened the window, but to get thru breeze the door to the hall had to be left open. That did not seem to be safe to us. Other than being uncomfortably warm, it was a nice hotel. It was just a let down after the cruise... more

This hotel is very comfortable, gracious service and in the center of the downtown action. There are a few rough edges (printing from your computer can be a challenge), but Alaska is the wilderness and this hotel is the best for business or vacation travelers in Anchorage. Easy to walk to many of the best restaurants. I am a frequent... more

We had taken a Princess Cruise and Denali trip and this was our final night. We had a spectacular trip and were sorry to see it end, so we were a bit down, but the Cook helped blunt the feeling. The room was spacious, well appointed, great bathroom and luxurious bed and bedding. We ate in the Pub and had an... more

Lovely, clean, spacious room looking out to the bay, we watched the sunset, it was beautiful. We were in Tower 2 room 1139, very high up! We ate in the hotel restaurant/bar I think it was called Fletcher's, good menu, lovely food, efficient staff. We had breakfast there too, I can recommend the pancakes. more

We enjoyed a beautiful view of downtown Anchorage but were very disappointed with the dinner at their Crow's Nest Restaurant. Half of the meal was so distasteful we did not eat it! Would not go back more

We stayed here for 2 nights before our trip to Denali, returning one night before our cruise left from Seward. Yes, the decor is dark (lots of wood, dark tiles in bathroom, etc.) but the hotel is in good shape and well-maintained. This is Anchorage, folks, and you're not going to find a swank, trendy, boutique hotel. Even with "special" rates... more

Stayed 3 nights at the Captain Cook prior to our cruise in a Captains Deck Suite: Bed was a double vs queen or king Room was hot and stuffy with no air conditioning (needed fans going on full just to keep air moving) - even with 60 degree temperatures, the room was warm Dated decor - awful late 70's, cheap... more
