We booked the hotel directly although we quoted other website prices...which they beat. With AAA we paid a very fair price. You can request a creek-side room and a non-smoking room. When we arrived at the Comfort Inn at 1:30am on Thursday, they only had one of our two rooms left. They "accidentally" sold one prior to our arrival and all other hotels in Anchorage were full because the start of the Iditarod was Saturday. We weren't real happy, but what could we do? I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 2 years. I like the morning breakfast. The front desk is very attentive and when there was a problem (nonworking coffee maker,new sheets for the hide-a-bed) they were very quick to take care of the problem. more

Nice rooms, pool and continental breakfast. Nice to have cookies and milk for the kids bedtime snack. If problems arise, staff are slow to respond. Don't leave any items in room.
