We stayed here for 3 nights right off a VERY long flight. Free airport shuttle. Free hot /cold full breakfast buffet. We chose the Hawthorne Suites only because the Anchorage Grand was totally booked. But after staying there, I think we'll be staying at the Hawthorne. Great price (AARP $152), great room, THE most comfortable hideabed in the other room I've ever slept in, the full breakfast in the morning was very good plus convenient, and the airport shuttle was great.... more

We stayed here at the end of a cruise for one night before flying out. We got our room as part of a package through Alaska Tour and Travel, which included bus transfer from Whittier. We paid a bit over $100 total through Hotwire for a very large room (really didn't use, or need, the front sitting area), which was a great value given the prevailing rates in Anchorage. This was a great place for a great price. When they say everything is pricier in Alaska, they are right. However, we found this hotel to be the most reasonably prices. The staff was really great about providing recommendations on restaruants and what to go see. more
