The hotel is a good place to stay on the ring road tour of Iceland. Our room was spacious & clean, with good blackout curtains and a comfortable bed & was quiet. We enjoyed a very good dinner and breakfast in their cheerful dining room served by friendly local staff. Recommended.

We stayed at this hotel for one night to break our journey on our drive round Iceland. We received a very warm welcome from the manager who later came and took our order for a meal in the restaurant. My husband started with leek soup and we both chose the lamb fillet from the menu which was delicious. We shared... More

Stayed here one night during our fly drive tour of Iceland. Friendly welcome. Rooms bright, clean and comfortable. Great evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was also good. Saw the Northern Lights the night we were there. The receptionist advised us to drive up the hill behind the hotel towards a campsite area, which we did at about 10pm and... More

During an organized bus tour through Iceland we stayed at this hotel for one night. It was really perfect. The location just above a super market, the information center and a handcraft shop made it very convenient for me. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff helpful and friendly. We ate there for dinner and everybody in the group... More

The hotel is an excellent spot for one or two nights being ideally located for horse riding, whale watching or general sightseeing. The hotel itself is basic providing a Bed and Breakfast service but this is all you really need. The hotel is just above the tourist information office and the local gas station/mini market with an attached restaurant so... More

We stayed here one night to break our drive. The appearance of the hotel building is uninspiring. However, everything else about it is good, from the welcoming staff to the free wi-fi in rooms to the exceptional restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a high quality restaurant here in the middle of nowhere!

Despite the interior design of the rooms not quite hitting the mark, the room was none the less clean and light. The showers smelt of sulphur, as is the case in many places in Iceland. The rooms were spacious, the food was tasty and there were good views from the hotel.

We really liked this hotel. The setting was not as scenic as some we stayed in and we only stayed one night but fely very relaxed there . Service was friendly but not fussy and the evening meal was the best we had in Iceland. Breakfast was fantastic too. Rooms were stylish and clean. Only complaint was in common with... More

The food in the hotel's restaurant is supposed to be good. We cannot tell as my wife and I arrived at 7:30pm and - before checking in - we first went went for a hamburger in the adjacent cafeteria annex supermarket annex petrol station as the hotel's website said advance reservations were needed from September to May. After we had... More
