We finished a long and enjoyable day of travel and took the first place on the road. This was a new, clean but very standard room, yet the most expensive of our entire stay. After returning home and visiting this beautiful country for two weeks we certainly can compare and say that we stayed at much nicer places for much less. Yes Iceland is expensive but this owner must adjust his prices down by atleast 1/3. I enjoy Trip Advisor and submit comments infrequently but this has forced me to comment after going through my charge card billings. more

My family stayed here after a long drive through the centre of Iceland (very barren) so it was nice to arrive at this friendly place. The room was basic (no ensuite) but clean and comfortable. The guesthouse had a sauna inside and hot pots outside for free (great). However, this is a long drive from anywhere and the small evening meal with no prices on display was extortionate. Everything was separately itemised and a glass of wine here for example was far more expensive than anywhere else we stayed in Iceland. Ask the prices first or bring food if cost is an issue! more
