This is a wonderful little hotel with a homey, cottage-like feel -- very warm and relaxing. They offer two private cottages and 6 rooms in the main building. We stayed in Room 2, a corner room with 2 windows affording gorgeous views of the deep green, mist covered countryside. As a selective hotel visitor, I would highly recommend this hotel; my husband and I were only sorry we couldn't stay longer, as it would make a perfect romantic getaway.

The room was very comfortable, with plenty of room to move about. The walls and flooring are entirely light wood, creating a very cosy, cabin-like feel. The bathroom was small and basic -- nothing fancy but perfectly adequate, with plenty of hot water (the bathroom door stuck a bit so there was a slight problem closing the door). As with most rural Icelandic hotels, best bring your own washcloth and soap, as only towels and hand soap are provided.
