We spent four nights in the Hotel Edda at Skogar. It is basic, with baths in the hall way, but very nice and clean. All the Hotel Edda group are actually school dormitories during term time. Well this is the best boarding school accommodation I've ever seen! The hotel itself is one of very few buildings in Skogar, which is a tiny village. From the Edda Skogar, you can walk to the Skogafoss waterfall and as far as you want to along the mountain... more

Basic budget hotel but good location, within 10 mins of the waterfall and good base for other attractions including the Glacier, Laki and Seljavellier pool. Food very good but expensive - can eat more cheaply at the Folk Museum which is open to 6.30. more

Nothing fancy here. A bed and a bath room and thats all. But then again, there isnt many hotels to choose from. So this is what we´ve got. But ok more
