We were the first guests in Vera's B&B this year, and we really loved our stay there. Vera was a lovely host. Because my father-in-law also likes to have porridge in the morning, Vera has made very tasteful porridge. We will stay here again if we take our flights from Shannn. more

Name is ironic - given the wettest summer on record! - but this is a really good place. Nice rooms and above average decor - stunning views of the Shannon from the conversatory (even in the rain!). Vera, the owner, is very welcoming. Family friendly but good for singles too. Overall this was the best place I stayed in (out... more

I have stayed in countless B&Bs throughout the U.K. and Ireland and Sunrise is among the very best. I recently spent 2 nights there with friends while touring the Lough Derg area. The rooms are extremely comfortable - bright and airy with attractive furnishings and very good beds. A wonderful breakfast is served in a lovely sun room that overlooks... more

My daughters and I stayed 10 days with Vera and Joe. Their Irish hospitality was so incredible that we changed our plans to extend our stay. It is a great home base for a driving tour of Ireland. It is an easy drive to the Cliffs of Moor and the Burren. The view from the conservatory of Loch Derg is... more

We loved to stay at Vera. We had a very young fashioned room which was very clean, also was the bathroom. There were the possibility of drinking some tea or coffee in the room and some cakes were offered too. Vera was very friendly and interested in talking to us and we felt very good to stay at her home.... more
