My wife and I stayed here for three nights over a June weekend and had a very nice stay. My sense is that if you are looking for an upscale hotel to use as a base for a tourist's weekend in Boston, the Marriott Cambridge is a great choice. Thought others have mentioned it, it is worth stressing that one... more
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in a room block for a wedding. The wedding was also held at the Marriott Cambridge. The pros: The rooms were typical city rooms - small but nice and comfortable. The location is great - out of the congestion of the city but close to the T stop for a quick ride... more
Hi, I stayed at this hotel during Jan - Feb 2009 when I had to complete my EDP course at MIT. It was an amazing experience overall. I had my room at the 12th Floor and had an amazing view of the street and Boston skyline from my Glass Window. Food was excellent and not costly. It is one of... more
First, I must admit that I don't expect "luxury" when I stay at a Marriott hotel. The Marriott Cambridge exceeded my expectations in that regard. The room was well appointed and nicely decorated; It was nicer than expected for a standard chain. Many of the other reviewers have commented on the great location of this hotel, so I'll focus on... more
My husband and I went to Cambridge, MA Easter weekend to visit our daughter. My hotel preferences were based on cost and quality. I was not looking for luxury. When I saw that the Marriott had very reasonably priced rooms and that it was right next to the Kendall T stop, I booked it right away. My daughter lives next... more
Check-in was smooth, although the bellhops were a bit overworked so we ended up hauling our luggage up ourselves. The rooms are reasonably big, albeit a bit tired looking. Wifi is fast, which is great for the business traveller. However, there isn't a kettle in the room, nor any free water - it's chargeable at $5/bottle - be careful! Other... more
We stayed at the Marriott for the Boston marathon weekend. The hotel is incredibly convenient to most points in Boston, as well as in regard to exploring Cambridge. As most reviewers have already pointed out, the T stop is directly in front of the hotel and it’s only one stop into Boston. We stayed on the 10th floor and had... more
It started out quite well, with an exceptionally warm and informational welcome by the man at the Front Desk... despite the sign next to my elbow apologizing for elevator maintenance. The elevator came quickly, looked fine and whisked me up to the 16th floor. The room was the familiar nicely-appointed and adequate size for two queen size beds, a pull-out... more
This is a great place to stay and often you can get very good deals at this place. The location is great bang on MIT and just minutes from places to visit in Cambridge and Boston. We went in December and got a great deal, much better than anything we could find in other similar quality hotels in the area.... more
