We booked a week's holiday to Malta middle of October, our holiday started off with maniac taxi driver. On arrival at The Dolman resort, first impressions were it looked a bit run down, the foyer however seemed quited nice, we waited till 2.30 till our room was ready. Too big. Rooms are dreadful, unless you are allocated a newly refurbished one. Very clean and food ok. The surrounding area is really not pretty, and appears to be rundown in parts. Shops, bars etc are tacky. Weather in October is not good, or wasn't when we were there. The whole place had the feeling of being "out of season"!... more

Spent 7 nights here in Sept. Paid extra to Thomas Cook for a sea view room and on arrival allocated a side room which o.k. had sea view just, over the roof tops,tv aerials & washing etc. Asked for move to front but was told that was rooms allocated to Cooks.
