On the whole enjoyed our stay - room was basic but very clean - but no outlook - limited cooked breakfast only got bacon every second day - dinners were OK but could have been better - a week was long enough - surrounding area was mainly closed but that was understandable as it was Nov. Malta itself is very... more

We were initially put in a pokey downstairs room [176] with an internal window looking out onto the corridor. After complaining we got moved the following day to the third floor. This was a definite improvement but the rooms you see on their website are not standard and come at quite an extra cost. The staff, in particular the porters,... more

We had one of the refurbished seaview rooms which was lovely. Food at the hotel is buffet service many of which are Maltese versions of dishes, always plenty of choice. There were NO chips served in the seven nights we were there which we felt was a bonus. Mainly older clientell not a place for the 18 to 30 brigade. more

Just read a few of the bad reviews, and wondered if there were two hotels in the same area with the same name? We stayed there for the first week of October, during which there was a bit of painting going on. We'd requested a top floor room to minimise the amount of people walking past the room waking us... more

We'd never been to Malta before but decided to stay in this Hotel as it stated it was on the sea front. We were initially shown to a room that did not have a sea view but it wasn't brilliant and so we asked if we could upgrade to a sea view. The hotel were very good and spent some... more

We booked a week's holiday to Malta middle of October, our holiday started off with maniac taxi driver. On arrival at The Dolman resort, first impressions were it looked a bit run down, the foyer however seemed quited nice, we waited till 2.30 till our room was ready. Had a walk round pool area, as was cold didnt seem appealing... more

Too big. Rooms are dreadful, unless you are allocated a newly refurbished one. Very clean and food ok. The surrounding area is really not pretty, and appears to be rundown in parts. Shops, bars etc are tacky. Weather in October is not good, or wasn't when we were there. The whole place had the feeling of being "out of season"!... more

Spent 7 nights here in Sept. Paid extra to Thomas Cook for a sea view room and on arrival allocated a side room which o.k. had sea view just, over the roof tops,tv aerials & washing etc. Asked for move to front but was told that was rooms allocated to Cooks. Staff attitude variable but overall ok. Food good choice,standard... more
