A party of four of us booked the Monastery’s Sanctuary and the Christopher Columbus Berth for one night. The latter stylised spacious Columbus room that we occupied was impressive and provided pleasant views to the north overlooking distant hills. The provision of high quality toiletries and luxury Mitre towels all contributed to providing a memorable stay and one that we... more

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in early April 2008, at the lovely Hotel Amanhavis, in Benahavis, Spain. The little town is 7 K north of the main Costa de Sol road, about 25 minutes from Marbella. The hotel is comprised of 9 rooms, each based on a historical theme of the area. The website gives pictures and... more

We stayed at the Amanhavis hotel from 3 April to the 10 April, 2007. We spotted it on Tripadvisor and fell in love with it instantly. It's in a tiny Spanish village, completely unspoilt and full of character and charm. We stayed in the Alchemist room. All the rooms are individually themed. There is a tiny pool, but I doubt... more

Just minutes away from the coast line, a small and terribly cute hotel in a mountain village of Benahavis. This hotel has interpreted the Andalucian history and put it into the hotel rooms. Never seen a small hotel with so much charme and elegance, yet attention to details. Hotel staff go out of their way to help, recommend and assist... more

We stayed in the Amanhavis for a week following reviews here. We were not disappointed. The whole setting is lovely, especially if you just want to get away from it all. The drive to it is very nice and it's hard to believe you're so close to places like Puerto Banus. The hotel itself is really special. We stayed in... more

Five days before our stay at the Amanhavis my wife broke her leg. We emailed the hotel and asked for guidance whether to cancel our stay because my wife had crutches and a wheelchair. They said there were a few steps but felt sure we would be OK. We are certainly glad we took their advice. This is a fabulous... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in March 2006. The town of Benahavis is hidden away on a little road that seems to go nowhere...except for the ubiquitous real estate development that is found throughout the Costa del Sol. Town is sweet with a lot of restaurants. Rooms are totally unique. Parking is just down the hill. Dinner... more

After a very long, hot and tiring day, we arrived to a warm welcome and a cold Alhambra beer + G&T. We stayed in the Sultan Boabdils Chamber, which is the most atmospheric hotel room we have ever stayed in. Dinner and drinks were served on the beautiful patio next to a small but inviting pool. This place is perfect... more

We stayed at Amanhavis for two nights in the Sultan's room... it was beautiful. The attention to detail was second to none and the whole experience was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent. This hotel is a family run affair with service and attention 1st class. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who requires... more

This is a beautiful little hotel with a world class restaurant... an oasis in the concrete desert of the Marbella area. Go and stay before Benahavis loses its rural feel. We had the Sultan Boabdil room; full of character and attention to detail, for around 120 euros. The courtyard, pool and roof terrace are all gorgeous, and we enjoyed being... more
