My wife and I stayed in a beautiful home from 1803 called 32 The Green which is located on Woodstock's Green across from the Town Hall and a beautiful Stone Church. We came across it on the internet ([----]) and rented it for 4 nights-they rent weekends or weekly. The house is decorated beautifully and has oviously just been renovated by someone with great taste. It was a perfect way to enjoy village life in Woodstock while staying in a beautiful, comfortable home. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and having our coffee in the morning. The kitchen is great and there is a little dining nook that has a lovely view over the Green. We also loved the media room with a huge flat screen TV and cute little bar. It is walking distance to all restaurants so we didnt feel that we missed out on not staying in a B&B or Hotel. The Woodstock Inn is a block away and we went there for dinner once...but found it to be rather run down and a bit tired. All in all...the perfect place to stay in... more
