yes, the charleston house is charming and in the heart of woodstock, a beautiful vermont town. yes, willa and dixii are warm and inviting. however, the breakfast that willa puts on the table is second to none. it is delicious and it is plentiful. in fact, i skipped lunch each time i had willa's breakfast. i can't wait to go... We have just spent two wonderful nights at this lovely B&B. The entire property is spotlessly clean. Our room was beautifully and luxuriously appointed with no comfort- detail overlooked. Breakfast was served in an elegant dining room and it was a sumptious, gourmet feast! Willa and Dixi are the consummate hosts--warm, friendly, helpful. An added bonus is the asy walking... More

This is an Inn with a period feel in easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Woodstock. Our room was large and comfortable with a four poster bed. Although we were at the front of the property, we didn't have any issues with noise from the road. We've never previously stayed at a hotel or B&B where none... More

Arrived here for 1 night to be told there was a free upgrade available for us! On seeing the room, Summer Kitchen, we decided to stay 2 nights! Lovely B&B, spotlessly clean & beautifully furnished. We had both a fireplace and jacuzzi bath. There is parking at the B&B and free wi-fi. Breakfast is served at a table with other... More

We very rarely never stay in bed and breakfasts mainly due to my diet restrictions. We originally had reserved an apartment in Woodstock, but at the last minute the boiler went out. They owners of the apartment highly recommended The Charleston Inn so we decided to give it a try. The rooms were very well done and the owners were... More

The Charleston House was located close the main section of town and was easy to walk to. The hosts were great and breakfast was the best on our New England trip. The house itself is old but has great charm. Woodstock is a great Vermont town and is a must see. The only problem is that the beds are very... More

We stayed there last year. The room we took was spacious, with plenty of interesting details, decor telling both the care the owners take of their guests and the history behind them. It was a memorable stay. We enjoyed meeting the owners, the breakfast and the whole "old style" Vermont experience. Unfortunately this year only chains hotel had vacancy... Conclusion:... More

Just got back from our 3rd trip to Woodstock and the Charleston Inn. Same as always, it was great. Clean, comfy and breakfasts to die for. Walked to downtown each night, fantastic sights within easy driving distance and extra clean rooms. Stayed at the Charleston 2006 ,2009 and 2012. Will be back 2015 if Dixie and Willa are still there.

We spent one night at the Charleston House and couldn't have been more pleased! Everything is beautifully done. The house itself is lovely with alot of period detail and furniture. I have stayed twice in the past year and have been very impressed with the comfortable accommodations, personable hosts, and great food. Willa and Dixie are wonderful people! My only complaint is the very creaky floors in the front of the house--I had a hard time falling asleep listening to all the comings and goings of the other guests.
