I recently stayed at the Ellis and I was really disappointed. The room was very small and the only space that was available for standing was just below the end of the bed, which was arm length from the TV. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable but for the price paid, the marriott or the... More

From reading the many reviews of this hotel I really thought this was going to be a great hotel, but in fact it's the exact opposite. It's a small old building with aging infrastructure, very loud (and consequently unusable) air conditioning, noisy plumbing and small rooms. The environs could also be better - I know it's not the fault of... More

I've been to Atlanta many times, staying all over the city and I found one thing to be largely true. The closer you get to Peachtree Avenue, the more blah the hotels become. Some are nice, some not, some have good value, others are tourist traps, but they're all undistinguished, with no soul. Not so the Ellis. What a joy.... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Ellis. It is in the nature of a boutique hotel, with relatively small public areas, but plenty of style and character. Rooms were beautifully decorated. The Ellis has a great little restaurant. Breakfast in the restaurant (which was included in our rate) was very good. The hotel is located in "downtown" Atlanta, which contains... More

My husband and I were in Atlanta only 1 evening on business. We decided to stay at the Ellis Hotel based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor. It's in the heart of downtown, which would make it very convenient to the cultural sites. We arrived late in the evening and departed early so my review is limited to sleeping accommodations... More

We were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine and ate our evening and morning meals on the restaurant. Enjoyed it all. More

Our first stay at the Ellis was during the Ice Storm of 2011. All across Atlanta, the stress was palpable. But not at the Ellis. The staff was, basically, living in the Hotel and we all rode it out together. The kitchen and bar(s) coped just fantastically with no deliveries and short-falls across the board. Ironically, We are dyed-in-the-wool Starwood... More

Ok your talked into taking a friend to Atlanta for a convention and you have no idea where to stay or what to do with the time you find yourself having while the friend in doing their thing. Atlanta is pretty big and busy so the choices were confusing, luck was on my side when I called the Ellis Hotel.... More

This hotel feels like a european hotel, since it's smaller than most of the neighboring hotels, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, rooms are small but very tastefully renovated, the only disadvantage I find is that there is no fitness room, you have to go to a place nearby... More

We have stayed at the Ellis previously and the service was impeccable. However, we arranged for a late arrival and arrived at around 11:15 p.m. during a thunderstorm. There was no valet, and the concierge simply stood and watched as we struggled to get our luggage in the door. The front desk clerk was apathetic at best. It took 15... More
