We used the Marta system to reach all our sightseeing destinations, so this hotel was in a great location across the street from the North Avenue station. (Also just a block away from the famous Varsity restaurant and from a great little bar/restaurant called Engine 11 which is located in an old firehouse). The rooms were spacious, although the bathroom... more

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference from Monday through Friday in June 2009. On the plus side, the staff was extremely warm, and the room was very pretty. Also, the bed was very comfortable. On the minus side, I agree with other reviewers that the street noise from traffic and sirens was high. Also, the cleaning staff... more

We were recently there for our wedding, and the hotel could not have been nicer. Very clean, excellent staff, and beautiful rooms. Noise was not a factor and the location was great. I am not sure why it recieves so many poor reviews, this is a great hotel at a great rate! more

Based on the Renaissance name, I thought I was staying at a 4 or 4 star hotel. I ordered room service and asked for a French wine prominently displayed in the menu, and was told "We don't got that." I chose a cheaper wine. The room service person showed up with a *very* cheap (BV) wine, not the one I... more

In any review you need to take into context the purpose of the trip and the price paid. For me I snagged this hotel for $50 on priceline so that certainly makes a difference. The hotel was very clean and served us quite well. But, the $28 a day for Valet parking seemed quite excessive. I wouldn't mind $20, but... more

Stayed at the Renaissance for two nights. Since I used a bidding site for this reservation, my "value" was excellent. I arrived early (before noon) and the staff cheerfully checked me in to my room on the 14th floor. I told them I was a light sleeper and they said the high floor would "do the trick." As others have... more

We traveled to Atlanta for a long weekend, and had already planned on visiting The Carter Center and MLK Jr National Historic Site. I have a walking disability and DID NOT want to rent a car after hearing horror stories about Atlanta traffic and $28/day parking at the hotel. This hotel was perfect for us! Less than 1/2 block to... more

This could have been a 5, but early in the morning I went down to post my review, and found I would have to insert a credit card to use one of the two computers in the otherwise empty business center. These days I find such a charge ridiculous--one of those irritants that causes people to look elsewhere, and a... more

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. Our advice is to bring ear plugs with you. The hospital sits across the street and you will certainly hear sirens all night long. Our first night wasn't too great as the noise woke us up many times. The second night we... more

Very noisy - sirens going off at all hours. There is no free internet - even in the business center. Valet parking only unless you want to search for a parking space in downtown Atlanta. Nice, large room. The water pressure was great for cold water but horrible for hot water. Very friendly staff. more
