Stayed here for the weekend. It is 2 blocks from Marta, and close to several good restaurants. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is a nicely restored apartment building. Full kitchen, dining room and high ceilings with lots of charm. The only minus was the A/C did not get real cold. It was comfortable, but could have been... more

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Midtown Atlanta (11th and West Peachtree) for two nights while visiting Atlanta for work and a family event. This hotel was one of the least expensive in this section of the city, and it turned out to be an incredible value, a steal, given its location and what I paid. My top concerns... more

The hotel's not bad. I stayed there with colleagues to go to a conference. We chose this Residence inn because it was one of the few that had suites with a separate bedroom at a sub-$200 price and is walking distance to a subway station. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though the furniture is old. The beds were comfortable,... more

I booked a room at this hotel using points for Dec 31st, to celebrate New Years at a club that was within walking distance. Arrived at the hotel that evening and the girl at the front desk told me the room had been booked for Jan 31st! What!? She said the hotel was full and that she was sorry. When... more

In town to see the First Emperor exhibit, we decided to stay at the Residence Inn Historic. The location was great--very close to the High Museum, where the exhibit was. The building is older, but we didn't see any problems with it and enjoyed the decor. The room was like a little apartment with kitchenette. The TV in the room... more

I liked this area of Atlanta more than others I had visited (this was midtown) and it seemed safe and charming (we went up Peachtree to a theatre and restaurant) but there were few restaurants, little shopping, and yet it was kinda noisy at night, with a pub downstairs and restaurant next door emptying patrons relatively late onto the street... more

This hotel is a converted apartment building in the Midtown part of Atlanta. It is a short walk to the Federal Reserve building, restaurants on Crescent Street, and the offices of Midtown. The hotel has some unique charm and potential because it does feel like staying in your own prewar apartment. It has been renovated to give it that Residence... more

The nice hotel and service was overshadowed by the fact that our room was warm and stuffy our entire 1 night stay. We checked in at 4:00 and put the air on 60 as soon as we walked in. We left for dinner and came back and it was still stuffy. At this point we thought it would get cooler... more

We booked this hotel based on good reviews at hotels.com. Made a mistake. It is not in a "historic" area, it's just an old hotel that needs updating desperately. Our first impression: adult store next door. My plan was to park across the street to avoid the $19/night parking fee at the hotel, but my husband objected. As it turns... more

I stay at a lot of marriotts and marriott brands for business and pleasure. I've come to expect a certain level as I have to option to book at many different places. Just beware that this hotel is on very busy streets which makes for a loud night. Its also in a very old building so the rooms are also... more
