This hotel reflects all the good recommendations shown onTrip Advisor. The people are great with good English spoken. Rooms are good, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with a great range of options. You are in the centre of the village and it is a short walk to the quayside where you can park your car.

A charming unpretentious hotel in an unspoilt by mass tourism small working fishing town of Cudillero provided perfect base for a few days sightseeing: the whole town perches on steep slopes hence rooms in the hotel are on the small side but being in the very centre compensates for any lack of space. Our room on the first floor had... More

First off, a word about the beauty and charm of the old fishing village of Cudillero, tucked away on the northern coast of Spain. This place is like something from another era, with old houses perched up a green and rocky hill overlooking the stormy Atlantic ocean. Ten yards from the sea front, you'll find this small, quaint and extremely... More

Extremely good attention: there is a lady that for my own surprise speak English (with a heavy accent) but can be understood very well; she's either one of the owner or maybe the manager, very, very pleasant, every one else who work in that place are always willing to help in any of your needs, if you've any questions, or... Perfect for a good old-fashioned Asturian experience in the heart of this delightful and quaint little fishing port. As central as you can be, with cafes, restaurants and the waterfront literally on your doorstep. Our wooden balcony looked out on the narrow streets and alleyways, with lovely old dwellings stacked up the hillside behind. The room was quite small, but... More

An easy 2+ hours from Santander. Good road all the way. The G2 or G3 are the entry roads to the village. I cannot remember which one takes you down the main street into the town, but that is the one to take. Park (temp) in the lane on the right at last bend before the harbour ( lane full of... More

We stayed in the attic room recently and wouldn't recommend it. As there are no dormer windows, the only ventialtion comes from a window at each end of the apartment, both of which can be looked straight into by the neighbours. The overpowering smell of air freshener sugggests ventilation is an ongoing problem. The bathroom is also absolutely tiny (not... More

What an amazing hotel, beatifully restored, comfortable and homely. Rosaria and Alfredo are a lovely welcoming couple who made us feel very welcome. The room was beautiful but the breakfast was just amazing. The crepes were the best I've ever tasted, together with the beautiful home made biscuits and cakes. I would definitely recommend staying at the Casona del Pio.... More

We stayed here for two weeks in July and loved it so much we came back again later in our trip, in august. Beautiful and impeccable rooms overlooking the village from an old wooden glassed in terrace, extraordinary breakfasts (the best eggs, bacon, honey, cheese, fruit, pancakes, fresh juice....). But above all the hosts, Rosario and Alfredo, and the lovely... More

A really lovely place to base yourself for a couple of days round Asturias. Very helpful owners and staff - great recommendations for restaurants, things to do in the area. Compact, spotless bedrooms with free wifi and well equipped bathrooms. Would definitely return.
