Did I have a good time at Stone Manor? You betcha! Would I go back? In a heartbeat. The innkeepers, Vern and Astra are outstanding at their job...so accommodating coming up with great suggestions for what to do and see in the area. Our room,The Laurel, was part of the original four room home built in 1750. How cool is... more

I have noted the writer’s comments regarding the breakfast and am sincerely apologetic that the offerings failed to please. Our menu has always included fresh fruit, juice and baked goods. We have taken the writers...
Stone Manor Inn is a lovely -- but expensive -- retreat about 45 minutes from Washington. D.C. Our room was huge, comfortable, and nicely appointed (at $275 a night, it should be). Sadly, Stone Manor's dining experience is nowhere near what it used to be. Last year, we enjoyed a sumptuous and innovative multicourse tasting dinner, well worth the $70... more
