The worst thing about this hotel is the staff. They are not good at what they do - whether you are checking in (long wait) or eating in the coffee shop at the hotel. I was amazed that the waitress actually seemed annoyed that she had to take our order. Curious. Rooms are average and reek of smoke. Sad to... more

We stayed there one night on our way to Sedona. While the room itself was adequate, modestly-priced and clean, everything else about our stay was awful:(1) The check-in clerk was inept and could not locate our online reservation...even when handed the reservation printout, she took forever to find it, and her excuse was laughable; (2) There was no elevator, so... more

The place was fine for the price, but don't expect too much. The outdoor hot tub was cold, which was quite annoying. Probably won't go back. more

Stayed here for 2 nights after the Grand Canyon and found it to be alright. Room walls are very thin and we could smell the smoke from the next non-smoking room! The main door to room was at least a 1/2 inch higher than the floor - I kept on worrying about bugs coming into the room. The room was... more

Walls between the rooms are VERY thin. The restaurant food is very good, but the service is very slow. The shuttle to and from the casino is very convenient. more

I took my father to this Casino / Hotel for his 86th birthday. The following morning he collapsed in the casino. My father was taken to the hospital in Cottonwood, he is still there. I received little to no help from casino or hotel staff. While my father was lying bleeding on the casino floor I made several requests that... more

We stayed at this lodge for two nights. We booked a standard suite and was told when I called that there would be a door between the two rooms. When we got to our room, there was not a door. The rooms were quite large and fairly clean. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio, as we had a nice... more

My husband and I stayed at Cliff Castle 5/27/2007. The employees were rude and you could hear everything going on in the next room. We were also charged an extra 150.00 for supposedly smoking in the room. We will never go back. Don't waste your gas getting there from Phoenix, stay at one of the other ones that are closer. more

Don't waste your time. If you're a gambling addict in need of counseling this is just another place to lose money - you can do almost as good at a kiosk or buying scratch-offs at the local quick mart. The rooms at the Lodge are clean but spartan, the food is mediocre, the surrounding area is a redneck enclave. Go... more
