We arrived at 8pm & found that the receptionist was also a waitress, bar staff & housekeeping !! The food in the resturant was ok, you got what you paid for really. The bedroom was basic really, the bed was very soft & needed replacing. Bathroom needed a new shower & loo roll holder, but considering we were only there... more

I visited the hotel on Sunday 26 April for a family christening held in a function suite alongside the main hotel. The tables were nicely set up around the floor, the room reasonably bright & the staff in attendance were polite & friendly enough on the whole but the buffet provided [£14 per head from the 'Wedding List' as no... more

On a journey to Cambridgeshire, we stoped at this Holiday Inn as it was directly on the A1m and made for a convienient stop. Staff/reception, Very polite staff and a nice welcome. We were checked in very quickly by the receptionist. The public areas include, reception,lounge/bar and restaurant. Food & Beverage As we arrived late 9.40pm we went straight to... more

Nice, near the river. Quiet if you have a room facing the courtyard/parking lot. Our only complaint was a very weak shower head and the bed mattress was not in shape. We keep rolling into the middle of the bed. more

I recently stayed here one evening on my way back home to Scotland from Cornwall! The staff were absolutely fantastic and catered for my everyneed! the rooms were nicely decorated, quiet considering the position of the hotel and clean. The food was to die for absolutely mouth watering! I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone! There was... more

From the lovely, really truly helpful staff, through the fantastic evening meal cuisine to the low price. everything here is a credit to them and I do hope they read this. I made a mistake on the internet booking which Holiday Inn couldn't sort out (to be fair it was 01:00 hours) they passed me to the USA centre, who... more

I organised a motoring club and stayed here for two nights. Parking is excellent and location is ideal. Public area and bar acceptable. However, food was very school dinners, and they couldnt cope with a group. i.e. some of our group were still waiting for their food when others had finished! Vegetables not very exciting and portions small. Various of... more

Stayed here recently for a conference, hotel room was really drepressing, tatty, outdated decor with the A1 right outside the window, so noisy. Food was very School Dinners- horrible place, never going back! more

Very average rooms. No air-con, room was boiling hot and the windows only open slightly. Snotty, unhelpful staff. Terrible breakfast, worse than the free HI Express breakfast, and this place charges £9.50. Steer clear. more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Sandy for the Silverstone GP, July 2005. Hotel had good parking, room was comfortable with usual facilities (TV, coffee, power shower, etc). real highlight was the sunday itself. I wasn't feeling very well and couldnt make the GP so watched it on the TV in the hotel bar after checking out. Staff (who were... more
