Although perhaps a little past its glory days the hotel is clean, welcoming and warm. It is situated right on the front opposite the pier and within very easy reach of shops, buses etc. Rooms comfortable and plenty of room. Staff are very friendly and helpful, restaurant service quick and efficient. The food is well cooked and presented and waiting... More

From start to finnish we enjoyed are stay, everywhere was clean, food brilliant, staff very friendly but not in your face. Worth paying extra for sea view, we had room 21 on the first floor, very large twin room directley overlooking the pier, beds a bit lumpy, plenty of tea coffee and milk. the power shower was amazing plenty of... You can easily imagine that you are a wartime courting couple when you visit this place which doesn't seem to have changed much in decades, save that there are en-suite bathrooms and you can get wifi in reception. This hotel has a degree of elegance about it, albeit very dated, with revolving entrance doors, high ceilings, sweeping stairs and stained... More

Still as friendly as ever, super clean enough for our 2 year old to crawl around without worrying & still a little tired in places, more an olde worldy patena which as many others have written, add something timeless to the stay, we would hate it if it changed anything. Don't expect 'boutique chic', I've been there and would rather... More

My friend came over from New Zealand, after living there fore 15 years and had decided years ago she wanted to stay at this hotel, when she lived locally in Swaffham. I live myself only 52 miles from Cromer. So, we booked a twin room with a sea and pier view for a weekend. I could only stay the one... More

It hasn't really changed since 1981. I recognised the same style of carpet, furniture and - the only word for it - ambiance. Faded and run down, it's a home from home for coach parties and lacks the sophistication and gloss its name suggests. But it has a really lovely atmosphere and an appeal I can't completely put my finger... More

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a coach company week-end break and what an enjoyable time we had. We received a very warm welcome and our luggage was speedily transferred to our our room which was clean and comfortable. The menu for meals was wide varied and the food plentiful, again effeciently served without fuss or problems.... More

We booked 2 rooms on one booking each to have two adults in. We payed extra for sea view yet when we arrived one couple were on 2nd floor another couple on 3rd floor. The higher floor had superb views yet the 2nd floor view was a side view of the sea & was a ridiculously small room. Considering we... More

From the moment we arrived the excellent service started, with our bags taken to our rooms and a quick and efficient check in. The rooms were spotless and mine had a lovely view. The food was good, varied and plentiful and the waitresses were efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend.
