Stayed here for 1 night and we wish we could have stayed here longer. We were made to feel extremely welcome from reception to restaurant and bar. We felt very at home. The staff were friendly and professional in a genuine way. The setting is beautiful in woods and high up,the view is spectacular! We saw deer and a fox... More

We had Sunday lunch here which was a really enjoyable experience in every way - definitely a cut above the average and good value for money too. The location is great, in a peaceful situation set well back from the road giving stunning views over the estuary. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and the food was excellent both... i recently stayed at this beautiful place for a wedding also taking place there. As well as the gorgeous forest like scenery once you are inside the beauty goes on. its old cottage style yet modern. the big day went off without a hitch. The thing that made it for me personally thought were the staff, they went above and... More

This was the best hotel we stayed in on a 4 week trip thru England. Would go back in a heart beat. Staff were very welcoming, bed was great, room fabulous, everything was great. Thus was the only hotel during our trip that thought to but the heaters on in the rooms. More

First off I have to say that Lyncombe Lodge have the loveliest hotel staff I have come across in the UK. From the the moment we arrived to when we departed, from the most junior to senior, they couldn't have been friendlier, more polite or helpful. Whoever recruited or trained them is a genius, Having said that there is not... More

The woodland location is really nice. The place is quiet. When we arrived we got a friendly welcome from the staff. We booked a triple room for 1 night. The room was well furnished, but we found it not very clean (above all the floor and the toilette). In the morning we had a poor continental breakfast. More

We stayed in one of the four rooms separate to the hotel and this made our stay much more enjoyable than it might have been otherwise -we did feel like we stepped back into a 80's timewarp when we arrived - not allowed into our room until 2pm initially despite the fact that it was ready. A rather forthright waitress... More

The hotel was in the style of a ski lodge as there is a dry ski slope ajoining it and this gave it its character. We stayed for one night and were greeted by Chris and Pinka who made us feel welcome immediately. We checked into two standard double rooms both of which, although small were plenty big enough for... I stayed at this hotel in July for one night only so perhaps my review will not capture all aspects it. However i paid £115 for a Superior Room with a balcony. The room was really no larger than that I would normally expect for a standard room and the facilities within it were standard in most hotel rooms these... More
