We turned up at the Nisqually Lodge on spec as we wanted to stay in the Mount Rainier area. The location is great, only about 6 miles from the park entrance, and as we had a room at the back of the lodge it didn't really matter that it is on the main road. The room was spacious and clean... more

My boyfriend and I had decided to wing our accommodations on one of the nights we were in the Mt. Rainier area. Driving down the road, we discovered that our choices were more limited than we had thought. Initially, we checked out Whittaker's Bunkhouse, where we realized there was no TV. Bringing this to the attention of the very nice... more

I stayed two nights at Nisqually one before my Rainier climb and one after. I had planned to camp out but Seattle and the surrounding area were suffering a heat wave. It was 104 when I got off the plane! I found the room clean and comfortable with a great WiFi for a location that is not known for it’s... more

I had a nice 3 day stay at Nisqually Lodge. I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. It is a 5 to 10 minute drive to Nisqually Entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park. The bed was comfortable in a nice spacious room and had a nice quiet heater and air conditioner. The sound proofing between walls and floors... more

Rooms are clean and well maintained, price isn't too steep, but this place has paper-thin walls and floors. Room doors closing sound like bombs going off. I could hear every single conversation that occurred in the hallways (even above). Even the plumbing is loud! When the occupants of the neighboring room turned on the shower, the walls practically shook and... more

Perhaps others' negative reviews of Nisqually Lodge are based on comparing it to the other local B&B-type accommodations, which is a mistake. Think of it instead as the one affordable option in this location; a step above your average motel. The grounds are nicely landscaped and maintained. Our room was more spacious than most motel rooms; very clean and comfortable,... more

I stayed at Nisqually last night and thought it was a decent place in a very convenient location. Nothing special but also nothing bad. Rooms were spacious and quite clean. You will have to carry your bags upstairs, if you have a room there. more

I had to chuckle at the first review and the warning to "avoid at all costs" and also that the front desk clerk was rude and in the wrong business! I have stayed at enough mountain hotels to know that these places are NOT the Marriott and customer service is not their forte. These small local businesses know they have... more

Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. Even with a written and phone confirmation, I was treated like I was not at all welcome. The woman at the front desk (owner?) was rude, unhelpful, mean (to me as well as her employees), and in the wrong business. She claimed she would not honor my rate even though... more

My husband and I stayed one night at the Nisqually the beginning of October. We enjoyed the main lodge area and the fireplace. Our room was large, very clean and the bed comfortable. The inn keepers were very helpful and opened the outside hot tub just for us. Breakfast was ample with juice , pastries and coffee. When asked about... more
