My husband and I stayed one night at the Nisqually the beginning of October. We enjoyed the main lodge area and the fireplace. Our room was large, very clean and the bed comfortable. The inn keepers were very helpful and opened the outside hot tub just for us. Breakfast was ample with juice , pastries and coffee. When asked about... more

Stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Mt. Rainier Natl Park. Nice looking place in a beautiful setting. Located on the main road leading to the Longmire entrance to the park. It's a relatively small lodge with standard motel-style rooms. Rooms were clean. Yes, the footsteps on the second floor could be heard in my first floor... more

I had planned to stay at Nisqually Lodge for two nights but experienced the same issue than "BackroadJunkie" When we arrived, the lady at the front desk claimed that she did not have a reservation for us and that all rooms were taken. She then called their sister lodge (Cowlitz Lodge) and they seemed to have our reservation. We drove... more

This was a nice location to the park and a pretty setting, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was filling and the room was large. The price was good and we had wireless internet, in fact we liked almost everything, except for the noise. Our room was downstairs and it was noisy all night, we could even hear the person... more

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday 8/04/07 and loved it. We did however have a room on the second floor with private balcony. The room was large and clean as was the private bath. We didn't hear any noise over the night and the hotel had no vacancies. It was perfectly priced for the accommodations. more

The Nisqually Lodge has a nice location set back a bit from the road into Mt Rainier State Park, about 6 miles from the entrance. Rooms are large and well equipped, but a bit dark, Staff are friendly and informative, and there is a large lounge with a fireplace. It does not serve meals, other than a basic breakfast but... more

This small hotel only 5 miles from Mt. Rainier SW entrance is very clean, new, and highly recommended. The owners are very helpful and very friendly. We traveled with our two children (7 and 4) and found the hotel to be kid friendly. more

We just left Nisqually after two pleasant evenings. I was concerned based on older reviews, but my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing base from which to explore Mt. Rainier NP. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK. The walls are a bit thin, but folks staying here tend to be hikers or families, and guests were... more

We tried to book a room in the park, but due to renovation at Paradise and National Park being full (except for shared baths), we chose Nisqually Lodge. It is your basic motel room with noisy feet above if you're on the ground floor and stairs to climb with luggage if you're on the 2nd. Few extras as previous reviewers... more

Made reservations for a room on 4/28/06 for a room on 7/30/06. Received confirmation for the room a couple days later. (Make *sure* you ask for confirmation via mail.) Arrived the afternoon of 7/30, only to find I did NOT have a room. They had my reservation (and luckily I had *my* copy of the confirmation) but...all the rooms were... more
