My husband, our friend, and I stayed here in the Cedar Cabin. The pro's: - If you're looking for solitude, this is the place. Quiet as a church, deep in the woods. - Easily sleeps the four people we planned to have there. - Full kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, ancient (but functional) stove/oven with dishes and... My husband is in the military and was home for a brief time. We decided to make the most of it with a romantic getaway to Ranier. We thought a private cozy cabin in the mountains all to ourselves would be perfect! Maybe a long day of hiking Paradise ending with some peace and quiet relaxing next to a crackling... More

It's too bad about these old reviews. I came on here to give this place a big thumbs up! The place has new managers and looks like they have been working really hard. I've stayed in the small lodge and the Chalet and have no complaints. The Chalet has an amazing amount of beds, I came up with a very... More

We were at the chalet in late Feb 2012; three adults, two small kids, and a dog. I'll start positive: The chalet is an a-frame style cabin with great windows and natural light. It is big and has beds to sleep tons. There is a working sauna. The heater kept it as warm as we wanted. We could bring the... More

Great location, close to the entrance of Mt Rainier National Park. The people are very nice and helpful. But the cabin itself is not kept in good condition, very dated - the furnishing, the installation and worst the bathroom - we could not bring ourselves to use the shower and left one day earlier. In spite of everything the heater... More

Stayed in the small lodge 22 DEC for one night with wife and 3 children. Rented it because of the pool table and games and stuff. Don't let the pictures on the website fool you, this building is VERY old and in serious need of repair. It smells like gas / old carpets when you walk in. Most of the... More

It's a great deal for the money, historic charm with lots of acres to explore right on the property, and a great "base" for exploring the National Park. We love this lodge and have come numerous times with different groups of friends and by ourselves. The cabins and lodges are no-frills but comfortable and simple. Booking was easy. Love the... More

Should have read the reviews. This place is not what we expected at all. If we had been going with a "camping" attitude, I don't think we would have been as surprised. Nothing's been updated since the 70's and I think that might include the electrical wiring. A little scary when the light flickers every time you get near the... More
