I booked this hotel because it was close to where we needed to be in Comrie and was less than 20 mins walk so that was great. After reading reviews on this site my wife and I decided to spend a Saturday here. Things started fairly well - the staff were polite and the hotel tidy. It went downhill from there however. Have just got back from two nights at the Royal. A lovely hotel with good food and friendly staff. Very busy with locals at weekends but we could relax in the library while we waited on dinner. i spent just one night in this hotel, i was in Comrie for work, but it was FANTASTIC. Room was clean and in very English style, at the bar they have a very good service and very good beers too... in the room they provide Molton Brown soap etc.. the same you found at london SPA airport. they have also... more

This was a last minute two night break. The service and food were very good and th eportions were generous. Unfortunatley the room was shabby and the bathroom was both grubby and had a cracked wash hand basin. Not what we were expecting. more

Simply outstanding staff, room rate includes gourmet dinner and breakfast, great little town. Of all the places we stayed in Scotland, this was the best value by a generous margin. We stayed in fun attic rooms, sloped ceilings, four-poster bed, excellent bath/shower facilities. more
