My family chose the Roosevelt Inn for our most recent visit to the Mt. Rushmore area for its convenience to the attractions we were planning to visit, and most of all the price. After pricing other Express hotels at around $200 per night, under $90 was a steal. We had a room directly across from the activity room where we... more

We stayed here during our trip to the Black Hills. Since we had younger kids with us we booked one of the family suites. The suites are nice and roomy... there is a seperate living area seperated from the sleeping area with TV, desk, table, mini-bar area with small refrigerator and microwave. The one thing that wasn't that great is... more

Just returned from an overall pleasant stay at the Roosevelt Inn. I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but found many complaints to be unfounded. Dean at the front desk was friendly and helpful (as were the other hotel staff / cleaning crews). Parking is plentiful, you just need to park in the back of the hotel (which... more

We hadn't intended to stay in Keystone, but it was very handy to Mt Rushmore; we arrived quite late in the afternoon and the Roosevelt looked like a reasonable place. Rates were OK, so we took a room at the front on the 3rd floor with 2 x Queen size beds, tiny - but adequate - bathroom, refrigerator, tea/coffee making... more

This is a family owned hotel right in the centre of Keystone, which is the nearest town to Mt. Rushmore National Monument. It was a good choice for us and provided a large, clean room with very good bathroom facilities. It was a little expensive as we were there on a holiday. We had a rear room on the second... more

The Roosevelt Inn is about half a mile from the Keystone downtown area, and right next to the President's Slide (which is great family fun). We booked the Loft Suite which was very spacious, with a king size bed and two twin beds in the loft. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator, which is a must for me... more

We recently traveled for 10 days and stayed at 4 places along the way. Plus, I have traveled for years with my children in sports, this was hands down the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, mostly due to their staff. It is run by a few curmudgeons...and they did not live up to their advertised promises. Their online... more

The reviewer's chief complaint is that we refused to allow a very late checkout and essentially evicted them from the room. All true. We generally try to accommodate wishes, especially when a guest is having some difficulties, as this reviewer did. However we were unable to make the reviewer understand that we had an incoming reservation for the room and...

I booked a family suite at the Roosevelt Inn for a 5 night stay in June for my son and I - we were very pleased with our stay. The suite was spacious and comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the room except for in the morning and at night but it was definitely comfortable. The beds were great.... more

When we arrived to check in it was difficult to find a place to park near the lobby. We parked in front of a dumpster. Check in was fine but getting to the elevator from outside is a bit difficult with suitcases (stairs and puddles). No offers of help. The room was fine. The hairdryer did not work but one... more
