We spent one night in the mansion and our second night at Quitman's Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff was wonderful! We told them at check-in that MS was my husband's 50th state to visit, they sent up a complementary bottle of champagne. My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend (41 years) at Monmouth Plantation on August 8 & 9, 2009 and could not have been happier. Arrived without any info on a business trip outing set up through the office. Really enjoyed it. Room, dinner, grounds, and lounge were all great.
