Recently had to attend a meeting in Wailea, and my priority in choosing a hotel was to able to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean surf, and have spectacular oceanfront and sunset views from my room/lanai (balcony). The Marriott did not disappoint! In stark contrast to their neighbors (e.g. the Grand Wailean, Four Seasons, Fairmont) which have rooms... more

We've stayed at the Marriott Wailea 3 times and 1 time prior when it was the Outrigger. We've also stayed at the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons at Wailea, and this is BY FAR the best propery on Wailea. A number of the hales (buildings) are about 20 feet from the ocean line and have awesome views of the... more

My husband, a friend, and I were planning a trip to Maui and were trying to decide between staying at the Marriott in Lahaina or Wailea. Although location-wise, we were happy w/ our decision (the property is absolutely beautiful!), we were surprised w/ the service we received. We've received better service at hotels we've paid less than half the price... more

We just returned from the Wailea Marriott. It is indeed a beautiful, low key property. Much of the renovations appear to be done, they are still working on the grounds though. The infinity/serenity pool is complete and very nice, but very small w/ not much "free" seating available. You have to be 18 or older to sit or swim there... more

My Wife and I stayed at the Marriott for two weeks for our Honeymoon. After an extremely long flight From London and finally reaching the hotel at 9.30pm we were very relieved to be greeted by the excellent staff at the Hotel. We were upgraded to an Ocean Front room overlooking the the main pool which in our opinion, was... more

We were married on the beach on July 4th and the Marriott Wailea was the first of our 4 hotels in Hawaii. Pros - Beautiful hotel, rooms were beautiful, but bed was too soft for me. The shoreline was beautiful, but no sand. Beautiful empty beach just to the north. We walked about 1 mile on this beach and saw... more

We stayed at the Wailea Marriott for 8 nights this July. It was the perfect vacation for our family of 4. Our oceanview room was located in Haleakala Tower facing beautiful Ulua Beach. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant, The Mala Wailea, had very good food and amazing views. They had an early bird... more

My husband and I spent the first couple of nights of our honeymoon there and we really enjoyed it. We had an ocean view room and it was FANTASTIC. the best part of the stay! we were RIGHT on the ocean, and loved listening to the waves at night (because we left the doors open.) Just wonderful! The serenity pool... more

My wife and I just returned from our stay at the Wailea Marriott...and it was probably the best vacation we have ever had. We used our Marriott points to stay for 7 nights. Upon our arrival, we were warmfully greeted by the front desk staff who upgraded our room to an ocean view for free. We had a gorgeous view... more

Pros: Very nice hotel for decent price (priceline) as compared to other luxury hotels in the area; fantastic restaurant with healthy foods; clean and new rooms; beautiful views and gorgeous lobby; nice pools, liked the three different pools with different ambience. Cons: Front dest staff was not quite unfriendly, but certainly terse. Made you feel like you were disturbing their... more
