My husband and I chose the Marriott for our honeymoon, and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel was immaculate: beautiful open lobby, extremely helpful staff, and the room was spacious and clean. They also have an adult only infinity pool which we LOVED and spent many an afternoon, sipping cocktails and enjoying the amazing sunset views. I also loved... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Wailea Marriott for 8 days in May 2009 and had a great stay. We were staying on a Friends and Family Rate so we got a great deal on the room. When we arrived at the large open air lobby the friendly bellmen helped get out bags out of the rental car and... more

We stayed at this resort from May 29th through June 5th. Check in went smoothly. We had booked an ocean view room and were given an ocean front room at no additional cost.. We contemplated for several months prior to our trip on where to stay. We were skeptical about this place because there were alot of reviews that weren't... more

We stayed at this hotel from June 6th through the 13th. Check in was a breeze, we had booked an ocean view room, and were offered a better room for an additional $ 75.00 a night which I politely declined. We were met with a shell lei greeting and offered cold water upon arrival which was a nice touch. It... more

We originally were going to stay at the Ritz in Kapalua...So glad we didn't (although I am sure the Ritz is very nice). Wailea was very close to the beautiful big and little beaches (little was out favorite) of Makena and the restaurants and limited nightlife of Kehei. The grounds at the Marriott were gorgeous and very well maintained...beautiful views... more

My husband and I (in our early 40's - travelled quite a bit) were in Maui for 10 days - 1st time in Hawaii - decided on Wailea based on marvelous reviews about the area being quiet and somewhat secluded with reference to the beach and from other large resorts. We knew the Marriott Wailea was not a 5 star... more

During my recent stay at Wailea Marriott Resort, we were in Maui for 5 days 4 nights. When we first arrived at the hotel, the receiption was very nice and we booked a partical ocean view room and was complementary upgraded to a Ocean Front Room. Our room was ready at the time we checked in and the view from... more

I understand that this resort was updated not too long ago but there's little evidence of it. Sure the endless pool is nice but the rooms suck. The televisions are outdated (I know, silly with this being Hawaii but if you've been there enough you know nights are quiet on the islands), the rooms are a little musty and the... more

In a nutshell: this hotel is a joke not worth your time or money. (Moreover: it is not worthy the Marriott brand; oh, did we say that some of their signs still say "Wailea Beach Outrigger" reminding us all about it's unflattering ancestry?) We have traveled to Hawaii numerous times in the past. We have stayed at condominiums, 5-star resorts,... more

The wife and I booked a Travelocity package for air and hotel to Wailea Mariott, with a slight upgrade to an ocean view room. We were pleased with the hotel: clean, comfortable, good view, walking distance to the infinity pool, great snorkeling a 5 minute walk away. We were surprised by the addition of a "resort fee" (plus tax) to... more
