Staff were friendly and accommodating. No one speaks English, you need to have some understanding of Portuguese at this hotel, vs. at other hotels in Macae that cater to foreigners, such as the Sheraton Four Points.

Location: at the end of Praia (Beach) Imbetiba, far away from the popular Praia Cavalheiros with all the great restaurants. Within walking distance to Petrobras complex and port. Incidentally, this hotel is frequented by offshore oil workers returning from and preparing for two weeks rotation. These guys sit out front of the hotel talking and smoking all night, which is easily heard in the rooms facing the front of the building up to the top floor, and it is disturbing to the other hotel patrons who wish to get some sleep.
