Despite 2 days of solid rain, we had a delightful time at Casa Divina. One of the first things I saw when we arrived at the property was a Blue Morpho butterfly. I have always wanted to see one in the wild and it was a delight. Also seen from the lodge were hummingbirds, parakeets, toucans, quetzals and more. We... More

This place is a little bit out of town but worth the journey. I could feel the stress melt away as we walked through the beautiful grounds to our 2 storey cabin. Everything is so lovely, I would highly recommend staying here. The food was great and the service impeccable. As for the distance from town, it is a nice... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights this month. More than we usually pay but it felt very worth it. We were the only people staying there during the pre-holiday lull and we enjoyed the quiet and solitude. it is only a 20 minute walk or so into town. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner are included with... More

Stayed here as a "rest" after a busy 2 weeks in Peru. Loved the lodge, ours was at the back and we had no-one underneath. Very relaxing and restful, especially afternoon naps in the hammock. We had booked the birding package with Efrain who is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide and very keen to share his enthusiasm. We are not... More

My wife and I spent the four best days of our honeymoon at Casa Divina. The grounds are so beautiful -- tropical flowers, hiking trails and amazing birds like Toucanets sprinkle the property -- that we didn't take pictures because they couldn't capture the beauty of the place. Casa Divina is truly a labor of love, and it shows. As... More

The food is wonderful and the location superb. However, just up the road El Monte is offering a free natualist service for guests, 3 meals a day and cheaper rates with cabins away from the eating area. The walk to town is a bit longer but if you are looking for a very quiet experience then think about El Monte... More

Although tricky to find (a 10 min very bumpy ride from centre of Mindo), this place is well worth the trip. Wooden 2-level houses plus a main house with a communal dining room / playroom, surrounded by amazingly luscious greenery, full of exotic birds (we saw more birds just sitting in our hammocks on the veranda than when going for... This review comes a bit late but the experience was very memorable and worth writing the review. We went to Ecuador in May 2010 after a Galapagos trip. We had arranged this portion directly with the lodge and worked with Molly. When I was looking at places, I actually found this place to be more expensive than what I had... More

Birdwatch from the comfort of your private cabin in the woods. Attractively designed and built, Casa Divina blends naturally into the surrounding cloudforest and gardens. The owners, Molly (American) and Efrain (Ecuadorian) are welcoming and happy to assist with information and planning activities in the Mindo area. Food is served family-style and is fresh, varied and delicious!! The highlight of... More

We stayed at Casa Divina for 3 fantastic nights in late September before going to the rainforest. We were fortunate to have as our guide Efrain, the owner of the property. He is an exceptional guide, and spotted too many species of birds to count. He even helped us in the evenings identify all the birds we had seen. We... More
